I can recall the first time I told a friend that I wanted to create a business that helped women feel awesome authentically and to teach them ways to improve their confidence for every day.
Her reply wasn’t what I was expecting, she told me, ‘well you can’t just say that because no one wants to admit that they don’t have enough confidence or that they have low self-esteem.’ Hearing her say this settled in my mind. And I followed with my reply, well, of course, there are, there have to be more women that feel like I once felt.
Today I am sharing 9 powerful ways to improve your confidence every day.

9 Powerful Ways to Improve your Confidence Everyday
1. Get to know yourself
Whatever you do, let it start by getting to know who you are. In order to feel confident in yourself, you have to know what are the things you like and dislike. Really getting to know yourself will help you feel more confident when opportunities and challenges arise. You will be able to take things head on and know that you are capable.
2. Speak to a stranger
The next time you see someone walking behind you, hold the door open for them. Or be the first person to say good morning or hello to a co-worker that you haven’t spoken to before. One of my favorites is to notice the cashier’s name on their name tag when I am checking out at a store, I always make a point to say their name either while in conversation or when saying Thank you. This one always gives me that extra boost of confidence.
3. Groom yourself
Take the time to take care of yourself. Keeping your look well groomed is powerful in many ways. The thoughts that you have of yourself are important. Just think back to the last time you dressed your best? Remember that feeling you had…yeah that good badass feeling… that’s confidence and you can wear it every day! You can also wear your favorite lipstick any lipstick with a hint of red is always a great choice (according to research the color is most associated with passion, confidence, and energy), book a nail treatment, treat yourself to a new haircut or buy a new dress. It’s amazing how much a small change can make for your self-image and mood.
4. Speak kindly to yourself
Recognize yourself with a loving heart. Every step is a big step so celebrate every last one of them! Take time out to evaluate your recent successes and even lessons that you have learned and give yourself credit, you are worthy. Trust me it is not about stroking your ego, it’s about showing love to yourself.
5. Do one thing that takes courage each day
I have made some of my biggest moves when I was uncomfortable. Get comfortable with feeling uncomfortable my friend! I don’t know of any other way to get over a fear other than facing it. Start with just one thing each day that you know will take courage. You will start to gain more courage and face bigger fears each time.

6. Don’t be afraid to laugh
Who doesn’t love a good laugh? Don’t be the person that is afraid to laugh out loud. Laugh at yourself (I do this more times than I would like to admit) If I trip over myself in public, I am laughing at myself and with the random stranger who happened to see me, but hey at least I made a stranger smile : ) It’s pretty much harmless, it’s fun and it gives you a powerful boost to improve your confidence.
7. Compliment Others
Sharing a kind compliment with a friend or stranger can boost your confidence. It helps you to speak up when there is something you want to share or notice with someone else and it helps to get your mind off of yourself.
8. Talk about yourself
Now this one may sound tricky but you can find nuggets of confidence when you speak about yourself in light conversation. It can be as simple as talking to a friend about a task you just completed or a lesson you learned. Another good one is to share a moment of your day were you laughed out loud. Talking about yourself is powerful because you began to speak of for yourself and for yourself.
9. Have mini dance/ lip sync parties
Letting go and just having a moment of fun can give you a powerful boost of confidence. Maybe you like singing in the shower or dancing to your favorite song whatever it doesn’t be too serious to just let go and do what moves you. Just remember to smile at yourself in the mirror, yeah that person looking back at you is one hell of a confident go-getter!
