Thank you social media! I mean how easy is it in today’s world to see what others are doing? I mean it is everywhere right? You have tons of social media apps that keep this right at your fingertips. If it’s not on your phone you have it on your computer as you scroll down Facebook. I mean the ease of watching and seeing what the next person is doing is so easy. Looking at everyone else can consume your day and you may not realize it but everything that your eyes are seeing is creating an imprint on your mind.
So when you go to take a picture or stand in front of the mirror as you are getting dressed your mind starts to wonder back to those other selfies and fitness photos that you have seen over the past few days. Then you start to compare yourself to those photos. You began to notice that you don’t look JUST LIKE THEM. So you tell yourself something like, Ugh, I don’t like taking pictures of myself or I don’t look good in anything I put on’ Any of this sound familiar? Let us change this all together.
Stop comparing who you are to who they are. Stop judging yourself based on another person. You are created to be you, not to try to live your life as someone else. When you embrace who you are then you will begin to love your whole self, and this my friend is the first step in having a stronger confidence.

2. Speak kindness to yourself
You remember those comments you made about yourself when you looked in the mirror or saw your photo after it was taken? Those negative words that you spoke to yourself? Yeah, lets cut those out too. What we say about ourselves is what we become. It might be a small comment that makes a huge impact on our mindset and how we see ourselves.
When we judge ourselves and speak the judgment to ourselves our mind, body and spirit hears what we believe and then before you know it you start to walk and talk exactly how you believe yourself to be. Now, what would happen if we started to speak kindly to ourselves? If we woke up in the morning looked at ourselves in the mirror and said, You are strong, confident and beautiful in every way. You are meant to achieve amazing things and you have everything you need to be successful.
I can tell you what will happen, first, you will have one amazing day and you will start to feel that fire burn inside of you. Let’s just say you will ignite your own confidence. : )
3. Surround yourself with positive people
This is actually easier than it sounds. Most of us think that we have to clean house, dumb boyfriends or girlfriends (which is totally acceptable if they are not emotionally supportive). But how about we start with something even easier than that. All of the people that you follow on social media that are not a positive influence on your life…remove them. Don’t watch them every day on every platform. Start following those that are sharing positive and motivating things that inspire you.
There are so many beautiful and talented people that have the main focus to be less of themselves, share the inspiring post and actually care about letting you in on their lives and their stories to help others become the best person they can be. It is easy to follow the popular pages that have all of the perfect pictures but there is more out there. Start unfollowing those that do not support who you want to become. Start following those that can uplift you. After you clean your social media house you will start to notice the judgment that you use to have to yourself start to vanish.
